I stayed here while travelling as an ice hockey referee. The stay was comfortable, and most of all, the owner of the hotel was a man of soft spoken pure kindness. There were really many small gestures of service and attentiveness, the best being in the morning when my breakfast table was prepared on my arrival with coffee, OJ, and the sports section of a newspaper containing a report on my game the previous night!
Great service, world class food again and again.
Simply good. Thank you
It is located inside the hotel of the same name. Southern German food specialties, such as: Leberle (geröstet oder sauer) mit Bratkartoffeln und kleinen Blattsalat (Liver - roasted or sour, to choose - with side of potatoes and salad) Geschnetzeltes vom Schweinefilet mit hausgemachten Spätzle (Sliced pork fillet with homemade Spätzle - a type of pasta very typical of southern Germany, used as an accompaniment to meats -) The letter is only in German. Excellent food. You can eat very well for about € 40-45 Quick and attentive service. Very picturesque decoration. It does not have (at least the entrance through the restaurant, I imagine that through the hotel) wheelchair access.
Best kitchen, nice terrace
Really good food, really worth it. Everything is right here. The roof terrace is a nice place to dine.
cozy living room, good food, friendly team.
Very friendly service, great atmosphere, very good food. Small portions weren't a problem. A clever stop on the A5. Were quick to get there with the kids after a long drive. Highly recommended, rather call ahead as very well attended. Thanks to the team from last night!
Very tasty food and very friendly service.
At the end of a weekend in Freiburg we rounded off our trip in the Gasthaus zum Löwen. We had a wonderful evening there in a great atmosphere and with great service from the staff. For our group we chose several dishes from the menu, so that everyone could try something "tapas-like". Each of the dishes, from the starter to the main course to the dessert, was very well presented and tasted excellent. The enjoyable evening was accompanied by delicious organic wine on recommendation. I also find it worth mentioning that the Gasthaus zum Löwen attaches great importance to regional products. When asked about the choice of dishes, we were able to tell where and from whom the products came - quality was convincing. As can be seen from the text, I was really enthusiastic about our stay and I am really looking forward to being a guest again the next time I visit the region.
Very symbolic - very, very tasty. I could have more often
Very delicious food, great ambience with an immediate feel-good atmosphere and a very nice, attentive team!
Warm atmosphere and super tasty, down-to-earth cuisine
We will be back great staff
Excellent food, good dry red wine (organic), very tasty game dishes. Wonderful, quick-witted staff. Prices are reasonable.
Very cozy. You feel right at home. Food very tasty. very good service
Nice staff, delicious food, you sit great, - good restaurant!
Parking available, there is super delicious food, nice large portions, the dessert very tasty. The only drawback there are several steep steps up to the restaurant not suitable for older people.
Very nice staff, had not made reservations but still got a table although it was fully booked, and the food was just delicious, we will definitely go again. And very nicely decorated
Good food and reasonable room prices.
Excellent food and friendly service in a home style setting.
Fine cuisine, great service. I would love to come again. Update from 04/25/2019 I can now confirm my good experience again: delicious dishes regional and yet original. From starters to desserts - small and large works of art from the Baden cuisine. Big thanks and praise to Ms. Lang - service with heart and fine humor. See you again sometime 🙂
Beautiful, rustic atmosphere, very good service, but the food is sometimes very overpriced. I myself was completely satisfied with my sour liver leek, but two friends had the vegetable plate, which was far too expensive at well over 10 euros, especially since it simply consisted of a few cooked vegetables with a small heap of boiled potatoes without a sauce. For our next girls' evening we will look for another inn.
Very caring staff and good service.
It's OK, No Minibar.
It was great eating dinner here
Is nice place with very good personal
Cozy, authentic and friendly. The food is excellent. Oh, and if weather permits, the terrace is wonderful. We keep coming back.
